To give you some inspiration, we share images of 6 modern office interior design ideas from our portfolio.
1. Transform your walls into stunning features
In commercial modern office interior design, your walls can be a blank canvas for creativity. They are, however, often overlooked. With a bit of imagination, you can transform a standard white wall into a stunning feature using artwork, panelling, tiles, hand-crafted artworks or vertical gardens. We are proud of the bespoke design and fitout we provided for the floor space at 50 Clarence St that included stunning hand-crafted feature walls. Browse the images and see the full story here.

2. Showcase your brand
You brand your website, collateral and advertising, so it makes sense to incorporate your look and feel into your modern interior office design. It’s a great way to promote your business and create a professional first impression. Corporate branding was incorporated stylishly into our Emarsys project with powerful results:

“The Vestra team listened from the first contact to ensure there was synergy to partner together …. they have a genuine willingness to understand our detailed needs from workstation size to signage and branding.”
Lily Huang, Office Manager, Emarsys
3. Create flexible spaces to collaborate
With work styles becoming more flexible, many offices are increasing their amount of collaboration space, and we don’t just mean traditional meeting rooms or board rooms. Archetype engaged Vestra to design and build their new Sydney office in Surry Hills.
Working within a creative warehouse-style shell, our design team created a unique workspace focusing on both quiet spaces and collaboration spaces and our client was suitably impressed. Susanne Mcleod, Office Manager said:
“Vestra did a phenomenal job from the design phase to completion of the project. They worked with us hand in hand and they definitely had a full grasp of what we envisioned our new office to be.”

From comfortable lounges and shared dining areas to outdoor meeting spaces and board rooms, there are many creative ways to incorporate collaboration spaces into your office fitout.
4. Boost productivity with clever quiet rooms
As well as having collaboration spaces, it’s also important to have some office quiet rooms for deep concentration, privacy or individual work. From sound-proof pods to individual rooms there are many alternatives for creating quiet spaces in your office.

Vestra worked with Axon global furniture suppliers for workstations and acoustic meeting pods achieving an outstanding workspace look and feel for the client.
When premium investment management firm Simcorp was relocating, they engaged Vestra to plan, design and construct their new offices including bespoke joinery, audiovisual technology, lighting and furniture selection. The project included separate meeting rooms and private offices and the client was thrilled with the overall result.
“The workspace far exceeds what we expected and is a high end fitout that is the envy of Simcorp offices globally!”
When undertaking the Uniland project, we were working within a strict budget. While the focus was on the front-of-house, we were able to make good use of space by incorporating some individual workstations.
Our client was very impressed with the work. “They understood our needs and showed attention to detail, and most importantly they stayed within the approved budget,” said Andy Lin, General Manager, Uniland.
Whatever your budget, space size and tastes, we can work with you to design quiet spaces to match your requirements.
5. Go green for sustainability and health
More and more businesses are keen to go green when fitting out their office spaces, and one way to do this is to incorporate plants into the design. As well as looking beautiful, they are also known for being good for health, productivity and morale. Vestra was engaged by Simon-Kucher to design and build their new office space in North Sydney, and plants were a prominent feature in their high-end fitout.

If the thought of maintaining your plants is daunting, there are companies that can take care of this for you, or you may want to consider artificial plants. These days it can sometimes be hard to tell the difference.
6. Mix business and pleasure with game zones
Global leaders like Google and Airbnb have dedicated spaces in their offices for employees to play games and enjoy time together, but many smaller businesses are also getting on board. Games rooms not only create a fun environment and give employees a chance to de-stress and recharge but they also encourage collaboration and creativity. From table tennis to pool, here are some creative ways our clients have incorporated games rooms into their office fitout design. These examples are from our Criteo and Lawson Elliott projects.
